Soleinildo’s Circus shows that behind the apparent scarcity of travelling circus troupes, there is the richness of a history that combines Commedia Dell’Arte, street clowns and artists from the Middle Ages, and sophisticated body techniques and languages that influenced great thinkers, from Chaplin to Federico Fellini. A resistance play, a tribute to the naivety of traditional circus.
