The park located in downtown Bertioga near Forte São João has a large green area and historical artifacts, and it houses statues of the priests Anchieta and Manoel da Nobrega and of the Tupinambá chief Cunhambebe, a hero of the resistance against the Portuguese and one of the leaders of the Tamoios Confederation. Cunhambebe met German explorer Hans Staden during the latter’s imprisonment.

C.A.I.S. Vila Mathias (Centro de Atividades Integradas de Santos)

Inaugurated on October 27, 2010, this is a modern venue for physical activities. With 11,028 m² of built area, it has a multi-sport court and bleachers with capacity for 5,000 spectators. The arena has thermal and acoustic insulation. The site also counts on six elevators, eight lodgings, laundry, dining room with capacity for about 60 people, ten changing rooms, five press booths, four boxes and retractable bleachers allowing for the installation of two stages, in addition to 118 parking spaces and 186 400-watts reflectors.

One of the most important colonial buildings in Santos, the construction of Casa de Câmara and Cadeia (Town Hall and Jail) started in 1839 and was only completed 30 years later, due to the Uruguay and Paraguay wars. The Santos City Council started meeting at Casa de Câmara in 1869. One year later, the eight-cell jail also began to operate in the building, where it remained until 1956. The 21,500-square foot building made of stone and lime is listed by preservation institutes at the federal (Iphan), state (Condephaat) and municipal (Condepasa) levels, and underwent a thorough renovation that was completed in 1981. It currently hosts cultural workshops.

Casa Rosada (SABESP)

Located in Washington Square, in the José Menino district of Santos, Prédio de Prevenção was registered by the Council for the Defense of Historic, Archaeological, Artistic and Tourist Heritage of the State of São Paulo (CONDEPHAAT) in 2003, along with other remaining buildings of the sewer system designed by the engineer Francisco Saturnino Rodrigues de Brito and built around 1912. In 2012, Sabesp concluded and delivered the restoration project of important hundred-year-old equipment between sewage pumping stations and Prédio de Prevenção, which houses old workshops for maintenance of parts, and is thus named because it had power generators to prevent the sewage system of the time from stopping in case of interruptions in the power supply.

Cubatão

Parque Anilinas - Av. Nove de Abril, s/nº - Centro, Cubatão - SP

A park full of green areas and cultural and sports venues, right in the heart of the city of Cubatão. The city's main multipurpose venue, the park is named after the city's first company, Fábrica de Anilinas (the Aniline Factory), which was established in the same area in 1924. Some houses used by workers at the time were listed as cultural heritage assets and now the idea is to recover all of that history. The park has a sports complex, playground, table sports, running track, outdoor fitness center for senior citizens, sport courts and the Multimedia Center, a space with two cinemas, a cultural venue and eight art galleries. Everything there is accessible, with ramps and elevators. The site features a huge reflecting pool and a cable car.

Doca Valongo

The headquarters of the first Historical Museum of the City of Santos is located at the facilities of the Fortaleza de Santo Amaro da Barra Grande, known as Fortaleza da Barra, built in 1584 and recognized as a national heritage site by IPHAN in 1964. Occupying a rocky spur, the fortress stretches over the access channel to the estuary of the largest port of Latin America, the Port of Santos. Its thick walls and battlements built with large stone blocks hold 6 rooms and multipurpose spaces, including a mezzanine for small performances or meetings.

Instituto Arte no Dique

The institute develops sociocultural work with the population of Dique da Vila Gilda in the Northwest Zone of Santos. Its mission is to offer and enable transformation and human and social development for children, teens, and adults, through educational activities, income generation, environment, and appreciation of the region’s popular culture. The project is developed in one of the most socially vulnerable areas of the city, with a population of 22,000 people living in precarious conditions, on stilt houses at the edge of the mangrove, over the Bugre River. With the effective participation of the community and the contribution of different sectors of society, the institution offers workshops in percussion instruments, dance, capoeira, theater, customization, sewing, and digital inclusion.

Located in the downtown area of Mongaguá, the cradle of the city’s foundation, the square was named "Praça Dr. Fernando Arens Junior" in honor of the founder of the city. With a diverse commercial area, as well as a tourist spot decorated by fountains, the square has been turned into a boulevard to make it even more attractive to the population and tourists. One of the places of the city where many people circulate every day, on Saturdays, it becomes the venue of a traditional popular outdoor dance party. The square has also hosted the Sesc Arts Circuit, street shows, concerts and other cultural events.

Museu Histórico Fortaleza de Santo Amaro da Barra Grande

The first Historical Museum of the city of Santos is located within the Santo Amaro da Barra Grande Fort, also known as Fortaleza da Barra (Barra Fort), built in 1584 and listed as a National Historical Heritage by IPHAN in 1964. Located on a rocky protrusion, the Fort stretches out onto the channel that allows access to the estuary of the Port of Santos – the largest in Latin America. Its thick walls and battlements, built with large blocks of stones, protect six rooms and multipurpose areas, including a mezzanine that can be used for small-scale presentations or meetings.

Parque Roberto Mário Santini (Emissário)

Parque do Emissário, as it is known, has an area of 42,766.10 m² and was built on the land platform of the Santos marine outfall. Inaugurated in celebration of the 463rd anniversary of Santos, the project was conceived by the architect Ruy Ohtake. The place has a playground, a professional skateboard park, a bike lane, outdoor tables for games, Museu do Surf, bleachers facing the ocean, an observation tower for jurors in surf competitions, and living areas. There is also a helipad, jogging and walking tracks, a statue in honor of Japanese immigration and also a monument created by the visual artist Tomie Ohtake.

Praia Grande

The shore of Praia Grande is 22 kilometers long, and features a bike lane and a totally restored boardwalk, offering residents and tourists a perfect place for exercise and outdoor walks. The venue has special landscaping and hosts itinerant events in partnership with the Praia Grande City Hall. The Conviver Boqueirão venue, dedicated to entertainment, leisure and exercise for the elderly, is located at Boqueirão beach, adding to the site another venue provided by the City Hall to hold and support events, with a beautiful view of the sea.

Praça Mauá

Centro Histórico, Santos - SP

The main meeting point in Santos’ Historic Center was named after Visconde de Mauá in 1887, renaming the then called Coronation Square. The tribute is due to the services the industrialist born in the South of Brazil provided in the development of Santos. Since 1939, the square has housed the Palácio José Bonifácio (City Hall), where several departments of the city hall operate. The site is also well known for being the stage for public demonstrations and cultural events throughout the year.

Teatro Armênio Mendes – Centro Cultural Português

Restored and reopened in 2017, the Armenian Portuguese Theater is located in the Portuguese Cultural Center, and was named in honor of the businessman Armênio Mendes, who died in October, and in celebration of the 122 years of the Portuguese Center. The renewed theater features total accessibility, sound equipment, air-conditioning and capacity for more than 300 spectators.

Teatro Brás Cubas

Inaugurated on March 10, 1979, the Theater was named after the founder of Vila de Santos. The venue has more than 5,000 square meters and 544 seats, and it was designed to house ballet, lyric singing, plays and even operas. It is just one of the structures within the Patrícia Galvão Culture Center, which also houses the Rosinha Mastrangelo Arena Theater, the Patrícia Galvão Art Gallery, the Bras Cubas Art Gallery, the MISS (Museum of Image and Sound of Santos), the "Roldão Mendes Rosa" Hemeroteca (Periodicals Library), and the headquarters of the Municipal Secretariat of Culture.

Teatro Coliseu

The theater’s history began in 1897, with the inauguration of a wooden gym, with velodrome, bleachers and bar. In 1909, it was replaced by a theater with 1,500 seats and acoustics considered perfect. In 1924, it reopened with the current configuration and 2,300 seats. In the great hall, the decoration highlights the art of Italian Adolfo Fonzari, illuminated by 39 chandeliers. In the shape of a horseshoe, the audience seats allow for the close observation of all the details of the scenes and the orchestra pit has room for 100 musicians. The building was heavily used for political activities and the restored theater reopened in 2006.

Teatro Guarany

The first building specially designed for theater activities in Santos opened in 1882 and was destroyed by a fire that only spared the outer walls in 1981. After being abandoned for two decades, the building was totally rebuilt by the City Hall and delivered in 2008. Complementing the beauty of the building, two of Paulo Von Poser's paintings stand out - the one in the ceiling depicts a scene from José de Alencar's novel O Guarany and the one in the foyer on the second floor is a re-reading of Benedicto Calixto's painting, which shows Santos viewed from the top of the Serrat Hill. The theater works both a venue for shows and as the municipal school of performing arts.
