Autofiction, a genre in which autobiography and fiction merge, is discussed from the point of view of theater with actor, director and dramatist Henrique Fontes, of the play A invenção do Nordeste; actor, director and dramatist Nelson Baskerville, of the play A vida; and Uruguayan director and dramatist Sergio Blanco, of the play El bramido de Düsseldorf.

Henrique Fontes is an actor, director and dramatist, and founding partner and artistic director of Espaço Cultural Casa da Ribeira. Born in Manaus, he has lived in Natal since 1986. He acted in more than 30 plays, with participations in the groups Clowns de Shakespeare, from Natal, and Maine Masque Co., in the USA. He wrote and directed, among other plays, Jacy, with Grupo Carmin, a group from Natal he founded in 2007 and is currently touring with the play A invenção do Nordeste.

Nelson Baskerville graduated in Performing Prts from ECA-USP. He was an acting teacher at Teatro-Escola Célia Helena and at Escola de Atores Wolf Maya. He is the director of AntiKatártiKa Teatral, and wrote and directed Luís Antônio-Gabriela, which won the APCA and the Shell awards. He was also nominated for awards for the play As estrelas cadentes do meu céu são feitas de bombas do inimigo, created with Cia Provisório-Definitivo.

Sergio Blanco is a French Uruguayan dramatist and theater director. After studying classical philology, he decided to dedicate himself fully to theater writing and directing. In 2017, his play Tebas Land received the prestigious Award Off West End in London. His best known works include Slaughter, .45’, Kiev, Barbarie, Kassandra, El salto de Darwin, Tebas Land, Ostia, La ira de Narciso, El bramido de Düsseldorf, Cuando pases sobre mi tumba and Cartografía de una desaparición. Several of his works have been staged in his country and abroad, and most of them have been translated to many languages and published in various countries.
