Siblings Heidi and Rolf Abderhalden discuss the anatomy of violence in Colombia through their work in Mapa Teatro, the company they founded in 1984, debating and reflecting on the interest in the relationship between party and violence in Colombia, a question that led them to problematize and to artistically elaborate the distinct devices and festive scenarios used by three agents of violence in the country: drug trafficking, paramilitarism, and guerrilla warfare.

Mapa Teatro is an artists' lab dedicated to interdisciplinary artistic creation. Based in Bogotá since 1986, it was founded in Paris in 1984 by Heidi, Elizabeth and Rolf Abderhalden, Colombian visual artists and directors.
