The memory inherited from totalitarian governments in Latin American countries is the theme of this roundtable with the participation of Fabio Rubiano Orjuela, director of Colombian company Teatro Petra; director Lucero Millán, a member of Nicaraguan collective Teatro Justo Ruffino Guaray; dramatist Sara Pinheiro and actress Natália Santos, both part of the piece Cine Splendid; whose works dialogue with the consequences of the military dictatorships in the continent.

Fabio Rubiano Orjuela is a dramatist, director and actor, with a degree in Performing Arts from University of Valle. He was awarded the Premio Nacional de Dirección Teatral 2013. He wrote over 20 theater pieces, four of which were awarded the Premio Nacional de Dramaturgia: Gracias por haber venido (1996), Cada vez que ladran los perros (1997), La penúltima cena (1999) and El Natalicio de Schumann (2009). He received five grant for artistic creation from the Ministry of Culture, four of his works received coproduction awards, and two were written thanks to residencies abroad (Spain and Mexico). Companies from Slovenia, Chile, Mexico, United States, Peru, Spain and France have staged his works.

Lucero Millán is a theater director, actress, teacher and cultural promoter. Of Mexican origin, she studied Dramatic Literature and Theater at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has a degree in Sociology from the Central American University of Nicaragua. In 1979, she created Teatro Justo Rufino Garay, which has participated in several festivals in countries such as France, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil.

Natalia Patricia Santos Vega is an actress, author and director, with a degree from Escuela Municipal de Arte Dramático del Instituto Municipal de Arte de Asunción, in Paraguay (2002). Author of pieces staged in the student and professional circuits. For the theater, she wrote La puerta, Sala de espera, Había una vez hace 200 años, Una aventura em Tierra Linda, Clara quiere hablar (De Interés Municipal), Caballero y Centauro (con Diego Mongelós), Adiós Rohejata and – collectively – Las Mujeres de Shakespeare, según nosotras and Todos los sapos también van al cielo. She was nominated for Breakout Actress for the Premios Arturo Alsina (2003).

Sara Pinheiro is a dramatist and actress. With a degree in Languages from Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG and in Theater from Centro de Formação Artística da Fundação Clóvis Salgado and from École Philippe Gaulier, in France. In Belo Horizonte, she was a member of Cia. do Chá and collaborated with the puppet theater group Pigmalião Escultura que Mexe. She is one of the creators of the Janela de Dramaturgia showcase, whose first three editions were published in a collection by Editora Perspectiva.
