In this workshop, aimed at creators in any area (as well as those interested in creation in general), Joana will develop the materials in the origin of her work and of Teatro do Vestido: political memory, life stories and their connection to the histories of places. A dive into erased, omitted, rewritten stories. Reconstructing lost family histories makes it possible to give voice to stories that never conform to the public space, tracing the genealogy of certain representations and constructions. The process will develop based on the personal experiences of the participants, their archives, their interests, or the books they have been collecting, as well as films, images and concerns.

Joana Craveiro founded the collective Teatro do Vestido in 2001, of which she is the artistic director and where she directed more than 40 creations. She holds a PhD in Theater from Roehampton University and a master's degree from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She also holds a degree in Anthropology from New University of Lisbon, and studied with Goat Island (Chicago) and Third Angel (Sheffield). She is passionate about political history, autobiographies, places and people.

Total running time: 9h.
